ANNUAL BACKPACK OPERATION:
Backpacks, New/Used, are collected year-round and shipped to Haiti for our 2 schools of 500 children! The children had never had backpacks before we began to supply them in 2014 and it quickly became the highlight of their school year. Children scream with excitement to receive a used backpack and are even more amazed to receive a brand new one! Donating your used backpacks or donating funds to help us buy new backpacks for our children is one of our biggest needs and biggest projects in Haiti. It is impossible to buy this many backpacks in Haiti and we are totally reliant upon our annual shipment to meet this need. Becoming a monthly partner, helps us to buy backpacks and pay to ship them each year, along with hygiene , shoes, school supplies and food. HFG Missions has built and is now responsible for 2 schools, including payment of 20 employed teachers, all books , and uniforms, providing education for children who otherwise would never get the chance to learn to read or write!
ANNUAL HAITI SHIPMENT:
School supplies, Backpacks, Hygiene products, shoes, and Peanutbutter are collected in Kentucky, driven by Uhaul to NY port, and arrive in our Haitian Compound each year, just in time to our School Start and annual backpack giveaway!

MEET OUR TWO SCHOOLS IN HAITI: Our Mountain Village of Sarthe, Haiti
Villagers volunteered for free to work and build the first school ever in this area! Villagers were then employed as Teachers and children began education for the first time in their life! All thanks to God for donations and monthly partners in the US that have transformed the lives of children and adults in this village!

Our Large Campus School in Mirebalais, Haiti:
We have 4 Buildings in
Mirebalais, Haiti for our
Emmanuel Baptiste School that employs 12 Teachers and enrolled 0ver 400 children in 2018!
Our Classrooms are so over crowded that we must separate rooms with petitions. We are also in need of more desks, chairs, and dry erase boards. Above, Nehemi is seated in one of our newly constructed benches, while (pictured left) some students do not have desks at all.
Education and The Gospel are Hugs From God Missions' main two goals for the people of Haiti! Thanks to donations and partners over the past 10 years, we have built churches and schools in two different areas and continue to maintain their monthly needs. We need to buy more books, uniforms ,supplies, and build more desks for our 2019 school year in order to give our students the best opportunity for success.
SPONSORING CAREERS TO CHANGE THE FUTURE OF A VILLAGE:
Kathy Love Liberus first began to help me upon my first trip to Haiti in 2008, as an interpreter. Her lifelong dream had always been to become a nurse, but higher education and jobs are an impossible reality in the harsh Haitian economy. We prayed for years, and due to increased sponsorship, we finally placed her in a Haitian Nursing program! She will now graduate in January of 2019, and become the first village Nurse for Sarthe, Haiti! HFG Missions proudly sponsored all of her education expenses including taxi, food, fees, uniforms, books, and tuition. Her personal miracle experience, not only changed her life, making the impossible...possible, but it will now bring health education and wellness treatment to a mountain village who suffer malnutrition and disease daily. She persevered through 3 taxis per day to get to school, beginning with a motorcycle taxi down the mountain, a van taxi to the school city, then a truck tap-tap to within walking distance , then repeated this same hard journey to return home each day! She excelled at the top of her class and proved that hard work and determination are the ingredients for success when only given the chance! We are now in prayer for the funds to build a small clinic to treat patients, store medicines, and become the sleeping site for visiting nurses and missionaries. We give all the glory to God for this progress miracle and will trust that our vision to expand health education will continue!
REVIVAL IN HAITI: SHOWING LOVE WITH ACTION, SPREADING THE GOSPEL, SAVING NOT ONLY THE BODY BUT THE SOUL!
Praying for Villagers and having frequent revivals build trust and relationships and see many souls saved!
Baptizing New converts and uniting in prayer brings continued change and progress for our villages!

Missions to Haiti began in 2008 with a week long revival preached, skits acted out, rice and toys given away and lasting friendships made. Since then Hugs from God missions was born and over 500 kids are currently on our list of needing sponsors for school tuition, backpacks, and shoes. Other projects such as orphange and school rebuilding are also in the works awaiting funds.
Our Mission in Haiti is one of the heart and Soul, not just food and building projects. We regularly walk through the villages just to pray and encourage people in the Lord. In doing so, we have seen many souls saved!!
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
We regularly take frisbees with "Jezi ren men ou" (Jesus loves you) and the Mission Ball
. We pass them out to the children signing up for school or after reading stories and teaching them about Jesus .
